Kaleidoscope is a new experiential preschool located in East Boulder County, using arts and science activities to introduce an age-appropriate, early childhood curriculum. Children are provided opportunities to explore centers and are introduced to new, varied experiences that allow them to learn skills and concepts in social, emotional and foundational academic learning at their own individual rates of development. Experienced, caring instructors will help promote and guide their students’ individual development, as well as their emerging interest and development in group participation. Kaleidoscope preschoolers will also begin to learn basic Spanish, as a sub-focus for the program.
Enrichment arts activities will be available in an extended day option on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The preschool is housed in a community art center, allowing access to dance rooms, a wide variety of arts materials, and a theater for drama activities. Outdoor amenities include a playground, murals, sculptures and gardens that support other curricular learning.
We accept children ages 3 (must be potty-trained) to 6, and we give individualized attention with a low adult-student ratio.
Our classes will meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am to noon each day, with an optional extended day on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from noon to 2:30pm. Parents may choose one, two or all three day options.
Our class of no more than 14 students will have an experienced, qualified preschool instructor, as well as an assistant. Monday, Wednesday and Friday (optional) extended day students will have a primary instructor, as well as supplemental instructors for movement, music, and drama, with experience working with preschoolers in each type of arts instruction. We are excited to share our new integrated arts preschool program, developed by seasoned preschool instructors, with the first group of Kaleidoscope preschoolers in the Fall of 2016.
