Mini-Performance Dance Company (ages 4-7)

Being a part of the Mini-Performance Company is an opportunity for little performers to develop their dance ability in both Ballet and Tap, to explore performing in a fun supportive format, and to have lots of opportunities to bond with kids their own age. Our quality instructors will ensure that students are taught proper technique in an age appropriate manner that is designed to nurture passion and continued interest in the art of dance.

The FALL Mini-Performance Dance Company opportunity runs from September through December. The WINTER/SPRING Mini-Performance Dance Company opportunity runs from January through May.
FALL Mini Performance Company Tap 1 (meets Wed @ 3:45-5:00pm) & Ballet 1: This group will have opportunities to perform their ballet and tap dances throughout the year, as well as have opportunities to be involved in other fun activities together as a group:

Class Times:

Mini-Performance Company/Tap 1 meets Wed @ 3:45-5:00pm & Ballet 1 meets Thurs @ 4:15-5:00pm

This group will have opportunities to perform their ballet and tap dances throughout the year, as well as have opportunities to be involved in other fun activities together as a group.

Cost:

FALL TERM: Sept-Dec; 4 monthly payments of $105
WINTER/SPRING: Jan-May; 5 monthly payments of $105

Junior Performance Dance Company (ages 7-11)

The Arts Hub will be offering audition for the Jr. Dance Company for the 2018/2019 Season. If you like to dance and want to take your training to the next level this is a perfect opportunity! The Junior Performance Dance Company prepares dancers for participation in the Arts Hub’s Performance Dance Company. The Junior Performance Company participates from September through July. Each student is expected to perform in 1 to 2 competitions, to enhance their performance abilities and the Fall and Spring Dance Theater Productions (Snow Queen, Dec 2018 & The Little Mermaid, May 2019).

Why be a Part of the Junior Performance Dance Company?

  • This is a dance training program for students 7-11 yrs. Students will train in a variety of dance forms including Jazz, Ballet, Tap and tumbling. A small portion of weekly Performance Company training time combining both the Junior and Senior Dance Performance Companies is designed to build cohesiveness within the groups and to promote unity across groups.
  • Each student will become a well-rounded performer with numerous performance opportunities including dance competitions, community performances, and Fall and Spring Dance Theater Shows.
  • The mission of this group is based on developing each student’s individual best as well as supporting other members of the Performance Dance Company to promote the entire groups’ development in dance and performance. The focus is not to compete against one another in a negative way, but to help the whole group improve in a healthy and positive manner. Structured evaluations will be given to the students periodically throughout the session including videotape consultations and technique rubrics to ensure the utmost training and development of each individual student.
  • Each student will receive both individual feedback as well as overall group observations. This approach helps each student learn how to continue to improve and develop as well as build teamwork, camaraderie, and respect as a dance company.
  • Affordable classes that are focused on dedication and development are delivered in a fun and inspiring environment!
  • We recommend students in the Intermediate Performance Company take an additional Ballet class to strengthen growth.

Senior Dance Performance Company

The Art Underground is currently looking to expand its Senior Performance Dance Company, Intermediate Dance Company, and Junior Dance Company (see Junior Dance Company page for more info), and Ballet Academy for the 2016/2017 Season. Why be a Part of the Performance Dance Company?

  • This is a pre-professional dance training program (students 13-18 yrs) in a variety of dance forms including Jazz, Modern/Lyrical, Ballet, Tap (Additional Class).
  • Each student will become a well-rounded performer with numerous performance opportunities including dance competitions, community performances, and dance Fall and Spring recitals.
  • Students of the Senior Performance Dance Company will have world première dance choreography set by an experienced and successful artist.
  • The mission of this group is based on developing each student’s individual best as well as supporting other members of the Performance Dance Company to promote the entire groups’ development in dance and performance. The focus is not to compete against one another in a negative way, but to help the whole group improve in a healthy and positive manner. Structured evaluations will be given to the students periodically throughout the session including videotape consultations and technique rubrics to ensure the utmost training and development of each individual student.
  • Focus will be placed on each student’s continued improvement and development as well as building teamwork, camaraderie, and respect as a dance company.
  • Affordable classes that are focused on dedication and development are delivered in a fun and inspiring environment!
  • Senior Performance Company dancers are required to attend Monday Ballet Academy V class and need to enroll in Tuesday and/or Thursday Ballet Academy V (formerly Ballet School). This ensures a classic foundation to help develop their growth.
